Chad Bradley wins Trifecta @ Tuesday Night Nationals - 12/29/09
12/29/09 - Hot Rod Hobbies: With well over 100 entries Tuesday Night at Hot Rod Hobbies in Santa Clarita CA. Chad Bradley pulled off the trifecta winning and TQing all 3 classes he entered in Tuesday night with his Jammin equipment! Chad raced 1/8 Truck, Buggy and Mod 4wd Short Course. Chad's TQ runs for 1/8 Truck and Buggy came from round 1 of qualifying, in the Short Course class Jeremy Kortz TQed round 1 and Chad took the TQ time by 1 second in round 2. The 1/8 Truck main, Chad lead from the start and never looked back with his Jammin X2 CRT, the main was 10min long and he completed it without a pit stop. The 1/8 Buggy main went similar to the 1/8 Truck main, however Chad had some pressure early on from Hyper driver Scott Wagner, Jeremy Kortz got a bad start in the begging keeping him from the up front battle between Wagner and Bradley. Chad ended up winning with his Jammin X2 CR by a half lap over Scott Wagner and Jeremy Kortz rounding out the 3rd Spot both driving Hyper 9 2.0. The highlight of the night was the 6min Short Course main between Chad and Jeremy, qualifying was so close it was bound to be a good race between the two Ofna drivers. The start of the Short Course main Chad lead off the start, Jeremy took the lead from Chad on the 2nd lap however it was short lived till Jeremy left the door open around the next corner, Chad was able to squeeze to the inside and lead for the next few minutes. Passing started getting rough between Bradley and Kortz with only a couple minutes remaining in the Short Course main event, Jeremy blasted Chad at the end of the front strait however Chad was able to still hold the lead and a few laps later Jeremy passed Chad clean before the triple jump, upon landing the triple jump Chad made an aggressive move on Jeremy (he gave him a punt and an over the roof move), from then on out Chad lead till the end.

Chad Bradley win the Tuesday Night Nationals - 12/22/09
12/22/09 Hot Rod Hobbies:  A cold windy night had a damper on the entries Tuesday night at Hot Rod Hobbies, usually around 100 entries every Tuesday night, this night had around 65. In the expert 1/8 buggy class Chad Bradley took the TQ in both rounds of qualifying with his Jammin X2 buggy and lead every lap of the 10min main event. Travis Erkeneff with his Hyper 9 was able to keep some pressure on Chad early on the main event till a few mistakes by Travis allowed Chad to build a comfortable lead. Travis ended up having an issue with his brakes and wasn't able to complete the main event, another Hyper 9 team driver Scott Wagner finished 2nd.

Hyper 10sc Wins OCRC Toys-4-Tots - 12/13
12/13/09 Pro 4wd SC @ OCRC, Toys for Tots Charity race:  The Toys for Tots Charity Race at OCRC, OFNA had a full field of their 4wd Short Course trucks consisting of the new Jammin SCRT-10 and Hyper 10SC.  In Qualifying Jeremy Kortz set the fastest time of 14 laps 5min 5sec driving his Hyper 10SC, setting the second fastest time was Chad Bradley 14 laps 5min 7sec with his Jammin SCRT-10.  With Jeremy and Chad's times so close in qualifying it was setting up to be an exciting main event, which it didn't disappoint.  The start of the main event Jeremy and Chad pulled away from the rest of the field, around two minutes into the five minute main Chad passed Jeremy for the lead however it was long till Jeremy regained the lead.  Chad would try a few more passes on Jeremy, however Jeremy would close the door on his attempt, they both finished neck and neck with Jeremy taking the win by less than a second over Chad.

Some key notes, Chad and Jeremy used the stock kit tires in their 1/10SC trucks. The fastest laps posted by Jeremy and Chad was a 20.6sec, the fastest lap in 1/8 electric buggy was an 18.8.

Chad Bradley win the Tuesday Night Nationals - 12/1/09
12/1/09 - Hot Rod's had one of their largest turnout of the year for a club race with well over 100 entries Tuesday night!  Jeremy Kortz was on hand Tuesday with his Hyper 9 Pro 2.0 along with Chad Bradley and his Jammin X2 buggy.  In qualifying Chad TQ'ed both rounds 1 and 2, in the main event on lap one Chad went wide and Jeremy made an aggressive move on the inside to take the early lead.  Jeremy lead for a few minutes extending his lead to a couple seconds over Chad.  But, Jeremy had a slow lap and allowed Chad to muscle his way to the inside to get around Jeremy.  Thus, Chad lead the rest of the way to take the win and Jeremy taking 2nd.

Kortz wins the Roar Electric 1/8 Scale Championships - 11/29/09
11/29/09 - NeoBuggy.net posted, what is our interpretation and understanding of the rules, we have also received numerous emails about who the winner actually is. The official results state TQ'er Travis Amezcua is the winner with two 2nd place finishes and one 4th - giving him a score of 198 with a tiebreak of 97, Kortz has two 3rd places and a win - score 198 and tie break of 98 - i.e. Kortz is champion based on that system. There appears to have been a mistake at the race with the results; stating Amezcua took the overall win... if we receive anymore news we'll let you know. It appears the A mains were a battle of finishing, with both Maifield & King down overall with a win a piece but poor results either side. This points to the class still being quite young as reliability is still a big factor in the outcome of the races. Nonetheless Kortz deserved his win with consistent finishes, just edging out Amezcua, strong run by Tyler Vik taking 3rd in the last Amain to net 3rd overall.  OFNA - I didn't want to say until somebody else confirmed my thoughts, but there it is!
Great Job Kortz!

Kortz takes the new Hyper 10sc 4x4 of a Win! - 11/17/09
11/17 - Hot Rods: Hyper 10sc 4x4 took 1st place and TQ'ed.  This was the first time out for Kortz and his new Hyper 10sc.  The SC Open Class didn't want to compete against a 4x4 truck, so we had only one heat of 4wd trucks.  But, next week will have a lot more!

Chad wins at Tuesday Nationals - 11/17/09
11/17/09 - Hot Rod Hobbies: With well over 100 entries Tuesday night at Hot Rod Hobbies Chad Bradley took the convincing win and TQ in the expert buggy class with his Jammin X2. Chad lead every lap in qualifying and in the main.

JBRL Truck Finals
In Round 2 of qualifying at the JBRL Finals in the Pro Truck class, Chad Bradley took over the TQ from Ryan Caverleri's round 1 time by 6 seconds. In the third and final round of qualifying Chad and Ryan were very close together on the clock and on the same pace as Chad's round two time, in the end Ryan edged out Chad and beat his round two time by 1/2 second to take top spot in the main event. In the Main Event Ryan made a mistake in the very first corner, which caused the entire field to pile up, however Chad was able to get out of the pile in third place. Chad took over the lead on the 2nd lap and lead for more than half of the main. A mistake from Chad Bradley was just enough to get Ryan Cavaleri the win at the end. Chad said his Jammin X2 CRT worked amazing the entire weekend.
