Chad Bradley win the Tuesday Night Nationals - 12/1/09
12/1/09 - Hot Rod's had one of their largest turnout of the year for a club race with well over 100 entries Tuesday night!  Jeremy Kortz was on hand Tuesday with his Hyper 9 Pro 2.0 along with Chad Bradley and his Jammin X2 buggy.  In qualifying Chad TQ'ed both rounds 1 and 2, in the main event on lap one Chad went wide and Jeremy made an aggressive move on the inside to take the early lead.  Jeremy lead for a few minutes extending his lead to a couple seconds over Chad.  But, Jeremy had a slow lap and allowed Chad to muscle his way to the inside to get around Jeremy.  Thus, Chad lead the rest of the way to take the win and Jeremy taking 2nd.

Hyer 10sc & Hyper 9 win at Thunder Alley - 12/6
12/6/09 - Thunder Alley: Toys for Tots Race and 170 entries Kortz won and TQ'ed with the New Hyper 10sc.  Also, Kortz drove his Hyper 9 Nitro to the finish with Drake second.  To round out the event, Kortz placed third in the 1/8 electric class too.  It seems that Kortz drove his "axx off" this weekend.

Kortz wins the Roar Electric 1/8 Scale Championships - 11/29/09
11/29/09 - NeoBuggy.net posted, what is our interpretation and understanding of the rules, we have also received numerous emails about who the winner actually is. The official results state TQ'er Travis Amezcua is the winner with two 2nd place finishes and one 4th - giving him a score of 198 with a tiebreak of 97, Kortz has two 3rd places and a win - score 198 and tie break of 98 - i.e. Kortz is champion based on that system. There appears to have been a mistake at the race with the results; stating Amezcua took the overall win... if we receive anymore news we'll let you know. It appears the A mains were a battle of finishing, with both Maifield & King down overall with a win a piece but poor results either side. This points to the class still being quite young as reliability is still a big factor in the outcome of the races. Nonetheless Kortz deserved his win with consistent finishes, just edging out Amezcua, strong run by Tyler Vik taking 3rd in the last Amain to net 3rd overall.  OFNA - I didn't want to say until somebody else confirmed my thoughts, but there it is!
Great Job Kortz!

Hyper 10sc 4x4 wins again - 11/20/09
11/20 - Camarillo RoadRunners had only one heat of mod 4wd trucks.  Kortz TQ'ed and won the A-main by 2 laps.

Kortz takes the new Hyper 10sc 4x4 of a Win! - 11/17/09
11/17 - Hot Rods: Hyper 10sc 4x4 took 1st place and TQ'ed.  This was the first time out for Kortz and his new Hyper 10sc.  The SC Open Class didn't want to compete against a 4x4 truck, so we had only one heat of 4wd trucks.  But, next week will have a lot more!

Chad wins at Tuesday Nationals - 11/17/09
11/17/09 - Hot Rod Hobbies: With well over 100 entries Tuesday night at Hot Rod Hobbies Chad Bradley took the convincing win and TQ in the expert buggy class with his Jammin X2. Chad lead every lap in qualifying and in the main.

JBRL Truck Finals
In Round 2 of qualifying at the JBRL Finals in the Pro Truck class, Chad Bradley took over the TQ from Ryan Caverleri's round 1 time by 6 seconds. In the third and final round of qualifying Chad and Ryan were very close together on the clock and on the same pace as Chad's round two time, in the end Ryan edged out Chad and beat his round two time by 1/2 second to take top spot in the main event. In the Main Event Ryan made a mistake in the very first corner, which caused the entire field to pile up, however Chad was able to get out of the pile in third place. Chad took over the lead on the 2nd lap and lead for more than half of the main. A mistake from Chad Bradley was just enough to get Ryan Cavaleri the win at the end. Chad said his Jammin X2 CRT worked amazing the entire weekend.

Chad Bradley win the Tuesday Night Nationals - 11/3/09
11/3/09 - Hot Rod Hobbies: A good turn out of pro drivers as well as a huge amount of entries Tuesday night at Hot Rod Hobbies in Santa Clarita Ca. In the expert 1/8 buggy class Chad Bradley beat out a lot of tough drivers for the top qualifying position with his Jammin X2, Jeremy Kortz in second with his Hyper 9 2.0, Clint Wactner in third with his 8 2.0. In the main event Chad lead from start to finish and never gave up the lead, early on Kortz made a mistake and fell to mid pack. Chad and Clint pulled away from the field and had a close battle early on, a mistake or two by Clint put him in a three way battle for second between Jeremy Kortz, Cody King and Clint Wactner. Chad lapped up to third place and took the win, with Jeremy Kortz in second and Cody King in third.

Nelson Cleans up at OUTBACK Raceway - 10/23
The  OFNA Dirt Oval team showed up ready to race at Greeneville, Tennessee Outback Speedway, a beautifully prepped red clay oval nestled in the mountains of Tennessee.  It was the 1st Annual Smoky Mountain Fall Nationals.  The band of bad weather from the Midwest discouraged a lot of racers from coming out, but after the rain cleared on Friday, we had a full race day on Saturday.  It was a fast paced day with over 50 racers from 3 surrounding states running 4 qualifiers and the mains in one day.  With OFNA donating prizes to random racers, the day was exciting.  The big prize of the day was the new OFNA/HoBao Sprint car going to Gary Marshall.  Robin Nelson, OFNA racer, won both the 1/8 scale Sprint A-main and the Super Late Model A-main.  Stan Harrington TQ'd the Super Late Model and Robin Nelson TQ'd the 1/8 scale Sprint.  OFNA ruled the entries with over 90% of drivers racing the OFNA car's.  Special thanks to Paul, Ash and Josh Vallentine for putting on a great race at Outback Speedway. Dirt Oval Logo
Their classes were 1/8 Nitro Sprint, 1/8 Super Late Model,  1/8 Limited Late Model and 1/8 Novice Late Model.  I saw a lot of OFNA Dirt Oval cars there and even Nitro Sprinter's, great to see!  This race was my first time out on the track with the new Picco .28 Turbo engine, which was also being used many other as the engine of choice.  This Picco .28 provided awesome power and led me to TQ and win the 1/8 Nitro Sprint class.

Chad Bradley win the Tuesday Night Nationals - 10/6/09
10/6/09 - Hot Rod Hobbies:  SoCal hot spot Hot Rod Hobbies in Santa Clarita CA had their weekly Tuesday night nationals with an impressive 102 entries.  On hand was Chad Bradley (Jammin X2), Jeremy Kortz (Hyper 9 2.0) and Ryan Lutz (Tamiya) all racing their 1/8 buggies.  Round 1 of qualifying, saw Chad Bradley take the TQ.  In round 2, Jeremy Kortz set the fastest time of the night beating Chad's round 1 time by a couple seconds and Ryan Lutz rounded out the top 3.  The 12 min main event saw a heated battle between Chad Bradley and Jeremy Kortz.  Ryan Lutz got a slow start in the beginning, keeping him away from the battle for the lead spot, however a local fast guy Travis Eurkinoff raced Lutz hard for the 3rd position the entire main.  Jeremy lead the main early with Chad close behind, until a mistake by Jeremy in the rhythm section allowed Chad to get by.  They both swap leads many more times, however it was Chad Bradley and his Jammin X-2 crossing the finish line first, securing his points lead for the Tuesday Night Nationals Series.

Jammin X-2 wins at WACC
Martin Wolhuter had an extremely good weekend at the last of the three WA Challenge Cup Rounds held this year, this one being at the Geralton Raceway.  He constantly outperformed other competitors with his very precise and consistent style.  Martins combination of Jammin X2 and his undoubted driving skill proved just too good for other competitors on the day.
